We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards for https://kennebunksavings.com.

We take the following measures to ensure ongoing accessibility by routinely auditing our website monthly through a third party application tool, Siteimprove, which monitors that our site is confirming to WCAG  level A and AA compliance and guidelines.

Our current content conformance status:

Despite our best efforts users may experience some issues and some parts of our web content do not fully confirm to the accessibility standard. This is a description of known accessibility issues. Please contact us if you observe an issue that is not listed.

  • Overuse of italics:  While it is used for emphasis, it can cause legibility issues when used in excess.
  • Text not included in an ARIA landmark: All perceivable text content should be included in an ARIA landmark to help assistive technologies to navigate to and find content quickly. This is currently a best practice only and not required for WCAG conformance. An aria landmark is an abstract role for the section of content that users will likely want to be able to navigate to the section easily and have it included in a dynamically generated summary of the page. Kennebunk Savings tries to include aria landmarks in the code where applicable always. All of the required/important aria landmarks are in place.
