DOVER, NH – Kennebunk Savings participated in #NHBanksGiveBack, a volunteer celebration during the month of October created by the NH Bankers Association to highlight the collective impact of the banking industry, state-wide.
Kennebunk Savings participated by donating art supplies to long-time partner SOS Recovery Community Organization to be utilized in art therapy courses. SOS offers many forms of recovery supports, including recovery coaching, yoga and CrossFit courses – but art is a favorite among staff and attendees – artwork is displayed all around the Dover office.

“Substance use disorder affects everyone,” said Bradford C. Paige, the bank’s President and CEO. “Prevention and recovery has been a focus of our philanthropy and social responsibility efforts for years, and SOS has been a valuable partner all along.”
Kennebunk Savings approaches prevention and recovery along many fronts – volunteering and board service with local organizations like SOS and Hope on Haven Hill, donations to recovery initiatives through their annual “Community Promise” giving program, distributing free prescription drug disposal kits through their branch network, and public and internal advocacy as a member of New Hampshire’s “Recovery Friendly Workplace” initiative.
“Banks in New Hampshire are united in their support of non-profits and their communities regularly through hours of volunteerism and financial support. We’ve asked our members to coordinate their efforts to coincide during the month of October this year to highlight their tremendous ongoing effort, reflecting what we’ve known all along – banks in New Hampshire regularly give back to their communities” said Kristy Merrill, President of NH Bankers.
